
Ray DuBois entered into beekeeping in 2006 out of concern for the honeybees and with the hope of contributing to their welfare. As happens to many beekeepers, the first two hives were followed by more hives and his initial curiosity became a consuming passion. In 2009 he was able to further his efforts by forming the member supported non-profit association BeeLove.org. It presently functions in Greenwich, CT and the surrounding communities.

The mission of BeeLove.org is to develop a sustainable, genetically diverse, local population of honeybees, while raising the public’s awareness of these amazing creatures. Treatment-free beekeeping is the best way to keep the hives healthy and vital. Selecting from survivor stock for increase and breeding encourages adaptation to local conditions.
